2010 Site Rules

Sites:

1. Oakland Convention Center - This venue will have a room inside the convention center for teams to eat their food that they bring.

-- Tables will be provided in the designated team room with enough for each team to have one. 

-- Outside tables will not be allowed as there will not be room. 

-- Players can set up their blankets near their table as room permits.

-- No camping will be allowed in the hall ways.

-- You can bring in your own food and eat in the room. 

-- Parents will be allowed to put personal chairs in the gym in open areas, but courtside chairs will also be provided. 

-- No food will be allowed in the playing area.

-- There will not be a concession.

      

2. San Mateo Event Center

3. Diablo Valley College

4. Deer Valley High School

5. Antioch High School

 

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR COOLERS WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THESE VENUES

 

* Tournament directors may impose the “13-Point Rule” for teams who are violating the “No Food in Gym” policy.  The “13-Point Rule” means that the team’s next set’s score will start at 0-13, with 13 points automatically awarded to the opposing team.  This will be noted in the tournament director’s report, which will result in the club’s being fined $100.  During the tournaments located in Convention Centers, if your team is caught with food you may be removed from the tournament.

 

* Please also be aware of the parking fees at theOakland Convention Center and the San Mateo Event Center.
